Lisa was born and raised in New Jersey, but now calls Greensboro, NC her home. She studied Christian Education at The United Christian College, obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Work from A&T State University, and received a Master’s Degree in the field of Social Work from The University of South Carolina. Lisa provides quality outpatient mental health services to each of her clients by using a comprehensive approach, with a wide range of interventions, such as Child-Centered Play Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, DBT, Family Therapy, Group Therapy and Marriage Counseling. Lisa believes enhanced therapy can alter the effects in which families have experienced complex trauma and provide a better outcome when clients receive the proper tools necessary to focus on healing and building resiliency within the family unit. Her unique counseling approach incorporates Christian principles to help individuals gain a deeper understanding of their emotional patterns and increase the use of mindfulness in their daily lives. Lisa hopes to empower, strengthen, guide, and equip individuals through self-sufficiency. Her zest for life includes traveling, going to the beach, and having clean fun!
