Theoretical Approach
I believe in the importance of several factors of health in helping a person to achieve their goals in life. These factors include sleep, nutrition, movement, connection, and mindset (thinking and managing stress). In combination with my training in specific therapeutic treatments, I often incorporate these factors into our work as they are so vital to mental health, mood, and being the best version of you.
In my work with clients, I use an integrative approach, drawing primarily from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

Experience
I have had the opportunity to work with individuals of various ages, backgrounds, and presenting concerns. Before pursuing my master’s degree, I worked for a non-profit agency advocating for individuals affected by intimate partner violence. I began working at Family Solutions in 2013. In my counseling experience, I have been fortunate to work with a variety of client concerns including individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, self-harm, academic challenges and adjustments, career/future decision-making and adjustments, and other general life transitions and stressors. I enjoy working with teens, college students, and young adults.
Personal
In my spare time I enjoy being with my family. I am a mom to three young children; they have taught me and continue to teach me so much about patience, joy, gratitude, and being present. I am passionate about fitness and CrossFit training, which has been a powerful tool for improving my physical strength and mental fortitude.
