Joan graduated with a Master of Science in Counseling with a concentration in Couple and Family Counseling from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nonprofit Management from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Joan has experience with and a passion for working with children and adolescents within individual, family, and school based settings. Trained through a trauma informed lens, Joan has a person-centered, solution-focused approach with incorporated elements from play therapy. In her free time, Joan enjoys spending time with family as well as volunteering within the local IDD community.
