Anita Faulkner, LCMHCS
Anita Faulkner, LCMHCS is a licensed professional counselor supervisor at Family Solutions. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and holds a Master’s of Science Degree in Community Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Clinical supervision and supervision for licensure are the primary roles that Anita fills at Family Solutions. One of her professional interests is encouraging and supporting clinicians as they become part of the counseling profession.
Because of leadership and practice management responsibilities, Anita is not taking new clients at this time. Anita’s clinical experience has included children, adolescents, parents, and families, emphasizing evidence-based practices and counseling in various settings including office, in-home, and school-based. She has focused on incorporating treatment models specifically for trauma treatment.
Anita has served families as a mental health consultant with Head Start in Guilford, Alamance, Randolph and Caswell counties. She has also supported the Alamance, Randolph and Guilford Partnerships for Children through providing pre-school teacher trainings and support using the Incredible Years Teacher curriculum.
